Session Description:  In 2014 the Alliance's Foundation (FCEhp) embarked on the QIE Initiative, and delivered a QIE Roadmap in January, 2015. To successfully integrate Educators' efforts with Quality Improvement (QI) efforts, the Roadmap identified a tool that QI teams use to design, implement, and evaluate their interventions, namely "SQUIRE". To help Alliance members build bridges to their QI peers, the FCEhp raised funds to develop an online version of this tool, customized and streamlined specifically for Educators.

Rather than going it alone, the FCEhp identified a key partner, the British Medical Journal (BMJ), who had already developed an onling version of SQUIRE to support their peer-reviewed BMJ Quality Improvement Reports Journal (http://qir.bmj.com/). With Educators' needs as the guiding principle, we engaged in an iterative dialogue to scope out an Alliance member version of SQUIRE. Acknowledging that this first version will generate important user feedback, we are now presenting this tool for members to use, free of charge, with the goal of encouraging collaboration between QI and Educator teams, in pursuit of QIE.

This session will review the tool, in real-time, to show Alliance members how the tool can best be used, and will feature an interactive APS to generate questions for discussion.
