Membership

The Alliance for Continuing Education in the Health Professions offers innovative interprofessional educational programs and services to thousands of CE/CPD educators who utilize their knowledge, skills, and expertise to improve health outcomes.  Members include professionals working in hospitals and health systems, academic medical centers, medical specialty societies, medical education communication companies, the government, and the pharmaceutical/medical device/biotech industries ... anyone involved in the CE/CPD enterprize.

Beginning September 1, 2012, new members or anyone who was a member in 2010 or prior, can join the Alliance for the remainder of 2012 and all of 2013 for the regular annual dues of $365.00.  That's up to four months of membership free!

There are two ways to become a member of the Alliance:

Membership dues are expended to defray the costs of providing member services, products and programs that include educational opportunities such as the Annual Conference and Basics Institute, and products. The Board of Directors and all committees and task forces, staff at the national office and all related association administrative expenses are also funded by dues income.

Alliance member benefits include reduced registration fee for live meetings, including the Annual Conference and Basics Institute. As a member, you will also receive the Almanac (monthly newsletter), the Journal of Continuing Education in the Health Professions (JCEHP), complimentary subscriptions to Medical Meetings and CE Measure. Membership also allows for lowered costs for CME database searches, reduced rates on Alliance mailing lists, discounted prices on Alliance products, and access to the online Membership Directory and Member Search.

Professionals who join the Alliance come from many backgrounds and interests with a common bond in continuing medical education. Alliance Member Sections are a group of professionals in a common work environment. These Member Sections afford opportunities to network, learn and share information of general interest to everyone involved in CE/CPD and also to pursue topics of special interest related to a particular CE/CPD environment.
