ACCME Highlights (10/31/19)
The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has added three new optional fields for contact information in the ACCME Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS), in response to inquiries and suggestions from accredited CME providers. The ACCME website contact field can be used to identify the individual who functions in a customer service role to address inquiries and triage questions from external users and doctors, and who will be published as the organization's contact in the Find a CME Provider section on ACCME's website. If no one is designated in this capacity, the organization's primary contact will be published on the site. CME providers also can use the technical contact field to identify the person responsible for information systems and technical updates related to their work in PARS, and the medical director field to identify the person serving as a medical leadership supervising strategic operations. ACCME may contact the identified medical director to discuss CME and healthcare leadership programs.
