Membership Vote Required: Proposed Substitutive Amendments to Alliance Bylaws

Over the course of the last year, the Alliance Governance committee has completed work on a review and revision of the organization's bylaws. Best practice for non-profit organizations suggest that such reviews be undertaken every 3-5 years to ensure that the bylaws remain current and relevant. The bylaw revisions have been approved by a majority vote of the board and legal counsel has reviewed the proposed amendments.

As dictated in the bylaws, the notice of proposed amendments is being delivered to members 30 days prior to the date on which voting action is to be taken. Voting will be done electronically. An affirmative vote of 2/3 of the ballots received is required for amendment.
