ACCME and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada Collaboration Expands Physician Education Opportunities

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) announced a new collaboration with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The partnership aims to increase opportunities for Royal College Fellows to acquire Maintenance of Certification (MOC) Program Section 3 credits via participation in accredited CME activities that meet MOC mandates. Fellows can report participation in activities registered for CME in Support of MOC that include the expectation that the learner engages in the assessment and obtains feedback. The Royal College will acknowledge these activities as fulfilling requirements for MOC Program Section 3 (Self-Assessment Programs) credits. Activities available from Nov. 1, 2019, to June 30, 2022 qualify.
