Bias comes in many forms in many environments. Biases based on gender, race, appearance and socioeconomic status are among the most common, and, for decades, these biases have been well documented within the education system.
At the 2017 Alliance conference, approximately 1,200 professional healthcare educators from various settings and sides of the equation gathered to learn and discuss how using their expertise in learning science and measurement can be combined with leadership to shape the future of the profession.
What follows are three types of outcomes assessment that you may not have seen before or seriously considered for implementation in your practice of CEHP. This list includes one simple, less expensive method, and two methods that require additional resources, training and expertise.
