This past September, 204 continuing education professionals and other healthcare stakeholders returned to their work settings armed with ideas and relevant action plans after attending the inaugural Alliance Quality and Innovation Summit (QIS) 2016 at Cleveland Clinic.
The Alliance Board has acknowledged changes to the Foundation for Continuing Education in the Health Professions (FCEhp), and we wish to explain what those changes are and why they were made.
Early in 2013, in a planning session with the Alliance Annual Meeting planning committee, it was suggested that I chair a pre-conference workshop on the science of learning. After some discussion, it was also proposed that the workshop be designed as a flipped classroom experience.
