Bias comes in many forms in many environments. Biases based on gender, race, appearance and socioeconomic status are among the most common, and, for decades, these biases have been well documented within the education system.
This article will explore ways providers can use live video for these purposes and will cover some of the live video apps that are currently available.
Early in 2013, in a planning session with the Alliance Annual Meeting planning committee, it was suggested that I chair a pre-conference workshop on the science of learning. After some discussion, it was also proposed that the workshop be designed as a flipped classroom experience.
