Diana J. Durham, PhD, FACEHP

Dr. Diana Durham was elected to the Alliance Board in 2014 and is now serving her second term. Currently, she is ACEHP Board Liaison to both the Medical Schools Member Section and the Health Care Education Organizations (HCEO) Member Section. In addition, she serves on the Governance Committee. Dr. Durham’s past leadership roles include Liaison to the Membership Committee, the Alliance Almanac, and the Federal CE Provider Section. She previously chaired the Federal CE Provider Member Section, the Hospital Member Section, and the State and Regional Organizations Sub-committee.
In January 2013, Dr. Durham had the honor of delivering an Endowed Lecture as the recipient of the Francis Maitland and Lecture Mentorship Award.
Active in the Alliance since January 1991, Dr. Durham recently returned to her regional CE professional organization, the Southern California Medical Education Council, realizing the value of local collaboration and fellowship of CEhp colleagues.
Dr. Durham came up through the ranks of Continuing Medical Education and Continuing Education in the Health Professions, starting in 1990 in Hospital CME and CE, Good Samaritan Hospital, Los Angeles. Located in Downtown LA’s ethnically and linguistically diverse urban community, Good Samaritan is a teaching hospital of the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California.
From 1997-2009, Diana was Director, Education & Accreditation for Audio-Digest Foundation, an accredited audio enduring materials publisher, then part of the Institute for Medical Quality, California Medical Association. From 2009-2019, Diana served in several leadership roles for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, Employee Education System: Senior Accreditation Consultant, Associate Director for Accreditation, and National Accreditation Project Manager.
