Date: Tue, Sep 26th, 2017
Time: 5:00 PM - 5:45 PM

Description:

Design for People is an innovative Intermountain Healthcare initiative that recognizes people always come first. Attend this presentation if you want to learn how to identify real-world challenges and how to work together to design solutions that add real value to the work people do. Design for People is based on the idea that to develop innovations that make a difference, we must start with a deep understanding of the work our physicians, clinicians, staff and our patients are doing. The usual ways of developing insights through conference room brainstorming sessions and phone calls are augmented with direct, empathetic observations in the context of where people live and work. This new knowledge leads to solutions that reflect the full human context in which we work, freeing caregivers to spend more time with patients and less time with paper and computers.
