Discussion to include a case study as to how one integrated health system -- Intermountain -- collaborated with external stakeholders to rethink clinician and patient engagement and learning. Dr. Lincoln Nadauld, MD, a medical oncologist and Medical Director of Cancer Genomics at Intermountain Healthcare, and Nancy Paynter, Director of Learning & Clinical Integration with Genentech's Medical Affairs division, to co-lead session. Their talk will provide an overview of cancer care research being advanced within Intermountain, specific to improving alignment between oncologists and patients in developing care goals in the management of colorectal cancer. Discussion to include implications for how medical education is evolving within systems to bring evidence into practice sooner for patients.
