Presented by Susie Flynn, Director of Academic Affairs, Academic Programs and Services Division, American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
The MOC Directory Powered by MedEdPORTAL’s CE Directory offers Board Certified diplomates easy access to a comprehensive, centralized, web-based repository of approved activities to meet requirements for the ABMS Program for Maintenance of Certification (ABMS MOC®) across medical specialties and subspecialties. For continuing medical education (CME) providers, the ABMS MOC Directory’s common submission form offers a single pathway to submit and receive MOC approvals from multiple Member Boards.
Introduced in October 2015, the MOC Directory was created by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), in partnership with the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), in response to a need identified by Member Boards and their diplomates for a system that would improve access to relevant, accredited CME MOC activities. Activities housed in the MOC Directory help diplomates meet MOC requirements for Lifelong Learning and Self-Assessment (Part II) and Improvement in Medical Practice (Part IV).
After participating in this webinar, you will be able to:
- Advance the adoption of the MOC Common Submission Form
- Advance the knowledge of the ABMS Member Boards MOC Requirements
- Identify existing accredited CME activities that can be submitted to the MOC Directory
