Alliance 2019 Annual Conference Session Description
The Pfizer Independent Grants for Learning and Change (IGLC) group has recently updated its name to Global Medical Grants (GMG), in recognition of our evolving into a global grants program. This presentation will highlight the challenges and learnings discovered while going through this evolution. While the emphasis will be on a global model, we will specifically highlight our experience implementing a grants program in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region.

Learning Objectives:

  • Summarize the value of leveraging a region-specific needs assessment for planning additional educational grant opportunities
  • Recognize the difference in attitudes, concerns, priorities, and regulations of global colleagues towards continuing education for healthcare providers
  • Highlight the challenges involved in implementing a Request for Proposals (RFP) for organizations in the APAC region to produce educational programs for healthcare providers in the same region
