Conference Learning Objectives
As a result of this education, the learner will be able to:
- Demonstrate best practices in development and execution of continuing professional development (CPD) and education.
- Enhance their knowledge base related to the continuing education professional, including current and emerging technologies affecting practice.
- Demonstrate proficiency related to rules and regulations affecting the conduct of continuing education in the health professions in the United States and abroad.
These sessions are mostly lecture presentations with slides and/or other media and the opportunity for audience participation through Q&A.
Learning Lab (1 Hour)
These are interactive, problem-solving sessions with audience participation. Methodology of audience participation may be explained in the session description.
Learning Lab (90 Minutes)
These are interactive, problem-solving sessions with heavy audience participation. Methodology of audience participation may be explained in the session description.
These sessions focus on a specific topic featuring a group of expert panelists, who share differing perspectives, experiences, and backgrounds. This session format will allow time for the audience to ask questions of the panelists.
These sessions are an intensive analysis of an experience, project, or event and usually incorporate problem-based learning and critical thinking.
These sessions provide a classroom-like environment where independence, thinking skills, collaboration, and active learning are developed at the same time as knowledge is acquired.
Lightning Learning Lab
This session type allows the attendee to obtain a basic understanding of several different topics within one presentation. After the initial “elevator pitch,” attendees will select the presentation they are most interested in, and then meet with their selected speaker(s) to gain a better, more in-depth understanding of the topic.
