As a distinguished member of the Alliance, my professional journey is driven by a deep personal passion for lifelong learning and quality improvement (QI) as the primary drivers for transforming healthcare delivery and improving patient outcomes. To guide the Alliance through a rapidly shifting healthcare environment and evolving CE field, I bring a unique blend of strategic/business acumen, change management leadership and deep institutional knowledge of continuing education, evaluation and health services research and the healthcare landscape.
My first example of advancing the field highlights my expertise in QI, adult learning and interprofessional education (IPE). As the grants program manager at UK HealthCare CECentral, I managed an extensive grant portfolio, designing multi-site continuing education and clinical behavior-change evaluations. On our 23-site primary care Optimizing Disease Management initiative, I utilized EMR data to track clinical behavior, successfully driving diabetic eye screening rates from 19% to 96%. This work received an Alliance award that emphasized that a collaborative approach and aligning rigorous adult learning principles with interprofessional clinic-level training directly elevates healthcare team performance and patient care.
My second example demonstrates my strengths in change management and strategic/business acumen. At The France Foundation (TFF), I directed the outcomes and data centralization strategy across a major active portfolio. Managing highly complex, multi-site QI initiatives across diverse healthcare networks, I recognized that fragmented data reporting created a massive bottleneck. I spearheaded an organizational transformation by centralizing our metrics into unified, interactive Power BI dashboards. As Chair of the TFF Outcomes Committee, I standardized our internal workflows and advanced our outcomes approach to bring together technology, educational outcomes and clinical data to streamline reporting, mitigate operational risks and provide internal and external stakeholders with transparent, real-time KPI insights that impacted strategic business decisions and revenue.
If given the honor to serve on the Alliance Board, I will champion three distinct priorities to move the Alliance ahead:
- Shift to Data-Driven Strategic Vision: Drawing from my data-centralization background and business acumen, I will advocate for aligning the Alliance's strategic goals with robust, data-driven insights. By leveraging predictive metrics and analytics, we can optimize internal governance, anticipate disruptions in the field and make agile, evidence-based decisions that advance our organizational vision.
- Advance and Demonstrate Membership Value: To drive robust recruitment and high-value retainment, we must clearly articulate and demonstrate the value of Alliance for our members. I will collaborate with other leaders to support professional development pathways for our members that highlight the benefits of being a part of the global Alliance membership.
- Foster Inclusive, Global CPD Collaboration: Utilizing the diplomacy sharpened through my advisory board leadership service and experience in QI and change management, I will prioritize breaking down silos between different committees and membership groups. I will champion collaborative initiatives that bring together stakeholders to partner in making last changes that serve our immediate organizational goals, advance the field and serve the broader global CPD community.
I am prepared to serve as a collaborative, fiscally responsible and forward-looking steward of the Alliance's future.
