National Learning Competencies (NLCs)
The Alliance National Learning Competencies© (NLCs) are unique in the field of continuing education. Drawing upon the Dreyfus Model of Skill Acquisition, the NLCs provide a staged approach to the development of proficiency and expertise in the continuing education profession. The nine Competency Areas represent different yet interconnected components that, taken together, form the foundation for excellence in the profession.
