Nominations are now open for upcoming positions on the Alliance Board of Directors. We are seeking committed, forward-thinking leaders who are ready to guide strategic priorities, strengthen our community and help advance healthcare CPD.

Role Responsibilities

Your leadership will help guide key decisions, strengthen the Alliance community and drive innovation across the CPD field.

Desired Candidate Strengths

  • Board Readiness: Demonstrated familiarity with Alliance bylaws, member benefits, board responsibilities, committees and member sections.
  • Change Management: Experienced in equipping individuals, teams and organizations with the tools and support needed to navigate change successfully.
  • Leadership: Strong capabilities in clear communication, strategic thinking, accountability and team building.
  • Healthcare: Demonstrated understanding of the evolving healthcare landscape and its impact on the profession.
  • Quality and Performance Improvement: Experienced in healthcare quality initiatives and improving performance through measurable learning interventions.
  • Interprofessional: Proven ability to build cross-organizational, interprofessional collaborations that drive process improvement through education.
  • Adult Learning: Skilled in instructional design, education research and adult learning methodologies, including andragogy, experiential and transformational learning.
  • Strategic and Business Acumen: Experienced in strategic planning, business development, budgeting and member engagement; board experience is a plus.

Eligibility

There are new eligibility requirements for this year's Board nominations. Candidates must have volunteered with the Alliance within the past five years, reflecting an ongoing commitment to the organization. Qualifying experience may include:

  • Committees
  • Member sections
  • Task forces
  • Other recognized volunteer roles

To be considered, applicants must submit the following materials:

  • Position statement (maximum 500 words)
  • Resume/CV
  • Three professional references
    • References will be contacted by the Nominating Committee to complete a brief survey
  • Professional headshot (.jpg format)
