#Alliance27 Objectives

The following objectives outline what we aim to achieve at #Alliance27:

  1. Apply evidence-based educational design strategies to develop healthcare CPD activities that improve learner engagement, performance and outcomes.
  2. Integrate data, outcomes measurement and quality improvement approaches to assess and enhance the impact of CPD across healthcare systems.
  3. Implement practical tools and frameworks to address compliance, accreditation and interprofessional education requirements.
  4. Design educational interventions that align with the needs of diverse learner populations across roles, experience levels and practice settings.
  5. Evaluate and apply emerging trends, including AI and digital learning technologies, to enhance the effectiveness and reach of healthcare CPD programs.
  6. Develop strategies to translate educational activities into meaningful changes in clinical practice, team performance and cross-institutional collaboration.
  7. Execute SMART professional development goals and networking strategies that expand your leadership capacity, support your career progression and strengthen your contributions to healthcare CPD within your organization and across the broader professional community.

Session Format Options

This year, we are seeking 60-minute sessions and 90-minute workshops.

  • 60-minute sessions: Typically 45 minutes of presentation, followed by 15 minutes of Q&A, group discussion and/or reflection.
  • 90-minute workshops: Ideal for hands-on learning, practice activities, case labs, guided exercises or deeper skill application.
    • Submissions strongly encouraged for topics that benefit from extended interaction, tool-building or scenario-based work.

Presentation Quality Expectations

When evaluating abstracts for #Alliance27, reviewers are looking for submissions that:

  • Include practical tools, templates, scripts, workflows, checklists or examples that attendees can use immediately.
  • Build in interactive components where appropriate (discussion, cases, breakout activities, polling, demonstrations and/or reflection exercises).
  • Ensure clear, explicit learning objectives and defined take-home deliverables.

Collaboration and Theme Alignment

#Alliance27's theme is United in Purpose: Generational Voices, Shared Visions, highlighting the power of collaboration and the value of diverse perspectives. To bring this theme to life, we strongly encourage group abstract submissions (three to four speakers) as well as proposals that represent a mix of generations, roles, institution types or professions.

The Alliance welcomes all submissions, regardless of theme, and encourages anyone with an idea to share their perspective.

Priority Topic Areas

We strongly encourage abstracts that are practical, real-world and immediately applicable to daily CE/CME work. Sessions should prioritize shared tools, templates, workflows and examples attendees can use right away. Sessions are also encouraged to include structured time for reflection (e.g., guided discussion, prompts or individual reflection) to support deeper learning and application.

This year’s priority topic areas are grounded in 2026 session evaluation findings. Submissions in the following areas are especially encouraged:
