Meet the Candidate!
I am honored to submit my candidacy for the Alliance Board of Directors. With over 15 years of experience in continuing professional development (CPD) and medical education, I have led institution-wide initiatives that directly align with the Alliance’s mission to drive innovation, collaboration, and excellence in healthcare education.
In my current dual role as Managing Director of the Office of Accredited Interprofessional Continuing Medical Education (OAICME) and the Office of Faculty Development at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center (TTUHSC), I provide strategic oversight and leadership across a diverse health sciences institution. I led our successful application for Joint Accreditation, transforming our CE enterprise into a truly interprofessional, team-based learning environment. This included designing infrastructure to support shared planning among physicians, nurses, pharmacists, social workers, and other professionals; building enduring content production pipelines; and expanding our accredited offerings to support improved healthcare outcomes in rural and underserved communities. Through this work, I directly support system-level goals around health equity, performance improvement, and regulatory alignment— ensuring our programs reflect the evolving health policy landscape and national CE standards.
I also direct TTUHSC’s Institutional Faculty Development Course, where I implemented a curriculum that addresses adult learning principles, instructional design, leadership, and scholarly development. My team uses continuous needs assessment and outcome metrics to evaluate the impact of our programming, supporting both individual faculty growth and institutional excellence. In both offices, I lead change management efforts—redefining internal processes, building new systems with limited resources, and mentoring faculty and staff in academic innovation, compliance, and data-informed decision-making.
My professional contributions extend beyond TTUHSC. I serve as a Joint Accreditation and ACCME Surveyor, offering peer-review expertise to institutions nationwide. I was honored with the Alliance CPD Forty Under 40 Award in 2025, recognizing my leadership, innovation, and impact. I currently mentor through both the Alliance and TACME mentorship programs, supporting professionals in CE design, accreditation, and leadership growth.
I bring entrepreneurial energy, strategic foresight, and a collaborative mindset to everything I do. I’ve built an enduring content infrastructure from the ground up, increased fiscal sustainability through operational reform, and formed strong partnerships with academic leaders, health systems, and licensing bodies. I understand the balance between innovation and accreditation, between policy and implementation.
Serving on the Alliance Board would allow me to give back to the community that has shaped my career. I am excited by the opportunity to advance our shared commitment to high-quality, interprofessional education that improves healthcare delivery, embraces diversity, and leads with integrity.
