Meet the Candidate!
Over the past five years, I have had the privilege of leading the Continuing Medical Education (CME) operations at Mercy Health, where I have guided a transformative expansion of our CME program across seven hospitals. In this role, I have elevated CME from a support function to a strategic partner in improving clinical outcomes, driving professional development, and supporting system-wide quality initiatives.
When I began in this position in 2019, our CME efforts were fragmented and largely reactive. Through strategic planning, performance measurement, and deep collaboration with clinical and executive leadership, I have led the development of an integrated, data-informed CME infrastructure that directly supports care improvement goals. We implemented key performance indicators (KPIs), aligned educational interventions with hospital quality metrics, and adopted technology-enabled solutions to expand our reach and evaluate impact more effectively.
Under my leadership, the program has experienced significant growth—not just in volume, but in strategic relevance. Our offerings now include more interprofessional learning, increased use of enduring materials and virtual platforms, and stronger alignment with clinical priorities. We've also strengthened partnerships with patient advocacy organizations and KOLs to develop education that is inclusive, evidence-based, and outcomes-oriented. These advancements have significantly increased provider engagement, educational effectiveness, and organizational support for CME.
Equally important has been my investment in staff development and succession planning. I’ve mentored and empowered a highly capable CME team, instilled a culture of continuous improvement, and built collaborative relationships across disciplines to ensure CME remains responsive to emerging needs and standards.
As a Certified Healthcare CPD Professional (CHCP), I am committed to regulatory excellence, innovation, and equity in medical education. I believe that CME is a critical tool not just for knowledge dissemination, but for systemic transformation in healthcare.
In addition to my work at Mercy Health, I have proudly served on the Alliance’s Membership Committee for several years. This experience has deepened my understanding of the Alliance's mission, connected me with a diverse range of members, and fueled my passion for advancing the profession at a national level.
I also recognize that the hospital and health systems member section is currently underrepresented on the ACHEP Board of Directors. As someone deeply embedded in the operational and strategic realities of a large health system, I would be honored to help fulfill this gap. I bring a voice that reflects the challenges and opportunities faced by hospital-based CME professionals, and I am eager to represent that perspective on the Board.
It would be a privilege to contribute my insight, leadership, and collaborative spirit to ACHEP’s ongoing work. Thank you for considering my candidacy as we continue building a future where continuing education drives meaningful change in healthcare.
