Code of Conduct
The CHCP Code of Conduct establishes the ethical and professional expectations applicable to CHCP certificants and candidates. Individuals participating in the CHCP certification program are expected to uphold the integrity of the credential, protect confidential certification information, and conduct themselves in a manner consistent with professional and ethical practice.
CHCP Candidates Shall:
- Maintain the confidentiality and security of CHCP examination content and refrain from disclosing, reproducing, copying, recording, transmitting, or otherwise sharing examination content in any form.
- Accurately represent their identity throughout the application and examination process and may not attempt to take an examination on behalf of another individual or permit another individual to test on their behalf.
- Submit only their own work and responses during the CHCP examination.
- Comply with all CHCP examination administration, security, and candidate conduct requirements.
Certified Healthcare CPD Professionals (CHCPs) shall:
- Conduct professional activities with honesty, integrity, and respect for the inherent worth of all persons.
- Maintain and enhance professional knowledge and competence through continued professional development and engagement in healthcare CPD.
- Represent the healthcare CPD profession ethically and professionally.
- Accurately and honestly represent professional qualifications, education, credentials, experience, and professional affiliations.
- Protect confidential and proprietary information obtained through professional activities or participation in the CHCP certification program.
- Comply with applicable CHCP certification policies, procedures, and requirements.
- Refrain from discrimination in professional activities.
- Refrain from accepting gifts, benefits, or other considerations intended to improperly influence professional decisions.
- Identify, disclose, and appropriately manage actual, potential, or perceived conflicts of interest.
- Refrain from conduct that could compromise the integrity of the CHCP credential or certification program.
Compliance with the Code of Conduct
Alleged violations of the CHCP Code of Conduct may be reviewed in accordance with the applicable CHCP certification policies and procedures. Violations may result in disciplinary action, up to and including suspension or revocation of certification, as applicable.
Individuals subject to an adverse certification decision may exercise applicable appeal rights in accordance with CHCP certification policies.
